ZOMBIES ON TUMBLR

I didn’t realise there was such a big zombie following on tumblr.  This morning I watched George A Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, posted a pic, and suddenly I’m getting all these reblogs from zombie enthusiasts.  It’s quite flattering for a person who watched her first zombie flick this morning…

An innocuous start to a disturbing film…

"Yeah, they’re dead. They’re all messed up"

-Sheriff, Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Funniest thing in the whole movie

George A Romero’s Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Not the scariest horror movie I’ve ever seen, but it is a surprisingly effective one, considering its age.

On my To Watch list this week:

Night of the Living Dead (1968)
I’ve never watched a zombie movie (well, I’ve seen half of Shaun of the Dead) so hopefully this zombie classic will be a good start.

Bonnie & Clyde (1967)
Another classic which I must watch…

V for Vendetta (2006)
I read Alan Moore’s graphic novel recently and found it quite interesting, if not as sophisticated as Watchmen.  Hoping that the Wachowski Brothers, Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving will impress me with their take on it.

A Serious Man (2009)
This movie looks so damn aesthetically pleasing, and Colin Firth is supposed to be excellent in this.

then maybe either Inception or Scott Pilgrim at the movies.

I reckon I’m in for a pretty good line-up.

NOTE: Actually, now I think of it, all these movies are pretty violent, eh?  Well, except for A Serious Man…  Do I have a tendency towards violent films?  Just an interesting thought…
